Don’t fall for it. Recruitment advert from United Nations Children’s Emergency Fund is a scam

A recruitment advert purportedly from United Nations Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) is fake, ZimTracker has established.

The advert which has gone viral on social networking site, WhatsApp reads;

‘United Nation (sic) Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Zimbabwe recruitment 2023. United Nation Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Zimbabwe recruitment is available and recruitment has started for all Zimbabwe Citizens aged between 18-40″

Below this message is a link for an online form.

Upon clicking the link, the words, “Welcome to UNICEF Zimbabwe” pop up with background picture of UNICEF staff and logo. It asks for prospective applicant’s details.

Upon filling one’s details, the form claims “Your application for the Ongoing United Nation Children’s Fund (UNICEF) recruitment is now on (sic) process” and asks for name validation.

It then brings good news for unsuspecting applicants; “Congratulations, You are qualified to work in United Nation Children’s Fund (UNICEF),” and asks one to share in five groups or 15 friends on WhatsApp as a precondition for one to get an appointment form.

UNICEF Zimbabwe has confirmed that the advert is fake.
